Blog FAIL
So I have failed at keeping Ronan's blog updated. I guess that's how it goes when you're a working mom with an active toddler!
Ronan is now 15 months old! He is walking, running, climbing, using sign language, saying a few words (hi, mama, dada, doggie), and finally interested in books. :)
If you haven't heard already, Ronan is also going to be a big brother! "Deuce" is due sometime around the first week of July. At the advice of our midwife, Ronan has his own sling that he sometimes carries his "baby" around in. Hopefully, with a lot of role playing, the transition to big brother will go smoothly.

He weighs 22lb 8oz, and still nurses a couple times a day. He has 8+ teeth (the + is because I can't get my finger in there to feel if there are more), including two molars on the top! I was surprised to find those two!
We recently took a trip to New York City for a family wedding. NYC isn't the easiest city to do with a toddler, but we managed. He did well on the airplane, and enjoyed the Children's Museum of Manhattan, where we got to meet friends Crystal, Ravi and Elanor! It was wonderful finally getting to meet our friends and see the kids playing together. Unfortunately it was on this trip that Ronan got his first bout of stomach flu. He was a trooper, though, and recovered quickly.
With Mommy's cousin, Jonathan (the groom!)
Snuggling with Daddy (watching Mythbusters) - recovery from stomach bug
Fun with hotel toilet paper...
SUPER bundled up! It was COLD in NYC!
Friends Crystal and Elanor!
Here are some somewhat recent pictures of Ronan. I'd like to get some pictures/video of him using sign language, so that will me my little "project" for the next couple of weeks!

Happy Birthday, Ronan!
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Ronan,
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Ronan,

On Saturday, we took Ronan to visit our favorite photographer, Michelle Enebo. She took some amazing pictures of Ronan enjoying his very first cake!! I knew I wanted to do this so I could get some great pics of him, but also I could enjoy him eating his cake at his party without stressing about getting pictures!
Sunday we celebrated Ronan's first birthday with over 40 friends and family members. Ronan loved having a house full of people to play with! He is an incredibly social guy. :)
He had his one-year check up at the NP last week, and he was 29.5" tall and 18lb 6oz. His iron levels are a bit low, and after tearful pleading from me not to give him formula, she agreed to up his vitamin dose a bit and recheck him in a month. I'm proud to say I have nursed my son through his first year, and although he has shown some weaning behaviors, I do not see the end of our nursing relationship in sight.

Ronan - 11 Months! (Well... 11.5...)
My Mommy is very busy with work right now (something called "parent-teacher conferences"), so I guess I have to update my own blog.
I am now 11.5 months old! I've learned to do lots of fun and entertaining things in the last few weeks. I can now initiate games of Peek-A-Boo:

I can clap:
I can stand up by myself:
I can play with fun things like boxes:

I can shake my head no:
I can chomp (I have 4 teeth now! Two on the top and two on the bottom!):

AND... I can sleep through the night! Mommy and Daddy gave me "tough love" and made me just cry it out when I woke up at night. I figured out pretty quickly that they weren't coming in to get me.

I also got my very first haircut and visited the pumpkin patch, but I'll let my Mommy write about those. My fingers are getting tired from all this typing.
Mommy took a few pictures of me on my 11 month birthday, but since I like to crawl around and play stuff, it's hard for Mommy to take my picture! But here are some of her favorites:
