I took him to the NP last week and he was 11lb 2oz, 23" long (5th-%ile for weight, 4th-%ile for height). I took him in because he was showing indicators of acid reflux, which the NP confirmed. He's now on ranitidine (baby Zantac), and it seems to be helping. He is still exclusively breastfed, and thriving!
He's hitting some developmental milestones, like "talking" to us, bringing his hands to his mouth (and sucking on blankets), and (kind of) rolling from his tummy to his back. If his hands are under his chest, he can push off and kind of fall over. He doesn't like spending too much time on his tummy, but we're working on it! He also pays more attention when we read books to him, and likes to look at bright pictures.
Our day-to-day routine is still pretty flexible and fluid. Most days he takes 2, 3-hour naps, but some days he takes lots of little naps. It all just depends. We're still co-sleeping and get 8-9 hours of sleep each night, only waking up once to nurse. One thing I've learned is that he really likes getting out and seeing people and places, so I try to get out somewhere each day. Now that the weather is getting nicer and a bit warmer, I want to take more walks. We have a wonderfully walkable neighborhood and it's good for all of us (Obie, too!) to get out and walk.
Ricky is doing wonderfully as a dad, and enjoys spending evenings with Ronan reading books, doing his bath and putting him to sleep. This weekend Ricky had a nasty cold, and it was hard for him not to be as hands-on with Ronan as he likes to be.
